UPI Server Down and No Cash? Here's How to Handle Payments.
Since the advent of UPI, people have reduced keeping cash. In such a situation, if the UPI server crashes or you are offline, you can still make digital payments. For this, you can try these two methods.

UPI service has gone down 3 times in the last two weeks, due to which crores of users are facing problems. Due to the growing trend of digital payments, the number of UPI users is increasing day by day, due to which the server is crashing again and again.
According to the latest data of NPCI, more than 4 lakh UPI transactions are happening every minute and around 2.3 crore UPI transactions are happening every hour in India. People's dependence on UPI can be gauged from the fact that most people have now stopped keeping cash in their wallet or are keeping very little cash.
NPCI issued a statement regarding UPI down, told the reason for the outage
Last Saturday, users got upset due to problems in the UPI server. Due to the long-term problem in UPI, people were not able to make payments in shopping malls, restaurants, etc. If you do not have cash in your pocket and the UPI server crashes, you can still make digital payments through these methods.
Use UPI Lite
NPCI started UPI Lite service a few years ago, through which the user does not need to be online to make payments. If your phone is in a poor network area or there is no network in the mobile, you can still make UPI payments using this feature. UPI Lite works like a digital wallet, in which you can top up to a maximum of Rs 4,000 daily. However, through this you can make a payment of up to a maximum of Rs 500 at a time. Earlier this limit was up to Rs 200.
UPI Payment: Now you can make UPI payment even without internet, just remember this secret code
You get this facility in UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm. In this, you will be able to make UPI payments even without a network by scanning the receiver's QR code. Even if the internet is not working in the mobile or the server is down, the receiver will still receive your payment.
After the internet connectivity is restored or the server is up, this payment gets updated in the receiver's account. NPCI has launched this feature especially for the people of those areas where there is no good internet connectivity. Not only this, but a UPI PIN is also not required to make payment through this feature.

Offline payment will be done through NFC
You can add your credit card or debit card to many apps, including Google Pay. You will be able to make offline payment to the receiver through NFC, i.e., Near Field Communication, present in your phone.
However, for this, the receiver should also have a PoS machine with an NFC feature that supports NFC. By doing this, you can enjoy digital payment even without the internet. As soon as the device comes online, the payment will be updated in the accounts of the sender and receiver.
