UPI outage has also been confirmed by DownDetector, a website that tracks outages. Till the time of writing the news, more than 3200 people have complained about UPI outage on Down Detector. Along with Down Detector, UPI users also complained about this on other social media platforms. Many users say that they are also facing problems in checking their balance.
NPCI had faced intermittent technical issues owing to which UPI had partial decline. The same has been addressed now and the system has stabilised. Regret the inconvenience.

Payments are failing
Many users have told that payments are not happening through UPI. Apart from payment, there is also a problem in knowing other information on the application. GPay, PhonePay, and Paytm are taking a lot of time in processing. Not only this, online payments are failing repeatedly. Many users have said that online payment applications like PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm are not working on their phones.
NPCI did not respond
According to DownDetector, the problem with UPI started by 7:50 pm. Thousands of complaints have been registered on the website in a few minutes. We would like to inform you that the Unified Payments Interface in India is a well-known online payment system. The National Payments Corporation of India created it. At present, no response has been given by NPCI regarding the UPI outage.

UPI will not work on these numbers from April 1
Let us tell you that new rules are going to be implemented regarding UPI from April 1. NPCI has implemented new rules to further strengthen the security of online payments. According to the new rules, from April 1, UPI will no longer work in those mobile numbers that have not been used for 90 days.
Now the old mobile numbers associated with UPI will be deactivated from April 1. In such a situation, if you have added a number to your UPI that you are not using, then update it immediately. Otherwise you may face problems in using UPI from April.
