Meta has now launched the verified waitlist in India, a month after announcing the paid service for Facebook and Instagram. Meta has also revealed the price of a monthly subscription, in addition to the waitlist. So, if you want a blue tick next to your name, you can get it and a dozen other features for a monthly fee. The blue tick was primarily reserved for notable figures that were sellable. In the past, Instagram's policy allowed celebrities, influencers, politicians, and people who worked for media organizations to have a blue tick next to their names. Meta, in particular, followed Twitter's revenue-generating strategy. The company run by Elon Musk has also launched a few features and a verification badge.
Meta's verification waitlist has opened, as first discovered by MoneyControl. This means that you can fill out the form if you want a blue tick next to your name. Users will be able to select the subscription plan for a monthly fee of Rs 1,099 on the website and Rs 1,499 on the mobile app. Users will receive features such as protection against impersonation and increased visibility and reach in addition to the verification badge. At present, Meta has just carried out the shortlist structure. When the services will be fully available in India, no information is available.
The mobile app store option includes the blue checkmark for both Facebook and Instagram, whereas if you sign up on the web, you will only receive it for Facebook. The blue checkmark is a badge of verification that shows that the account belongs to a public figure, celebrity, or brand and is genuine.
The service also offers "proactive impersonation protection," which aids in stopping others from impersonating you online, in addition to the badge. Additionally, it provides direct access to customer support, exclusive stickers, and one hundred Facebook "Stars" per month. Notably, users who are already verified on either Instagram or Facebook will not be required to pay the blue tick's subscription fee.
