On Sunday, February 9, India defeated South Africa by nine wickets in the U19 Women's T20 World Cup. With 52 balls left, India won the match by a commanding 9 wickets thanks to Gongadi Trisha's all-around performance.

Trisha not only took three wickets during her final spell, but she also aggressively scored 44* in an 83-run chase. When Trisha walked up to accept the Player of the Match award following the game, she was so happy that she couldn't speak. In a heartfelt homage to the support that drove her journey, she was overcome by the moment and could only dedicate her success to her father.

"Means the world to me, but I'm speechless at the moment. I appreciate all of your support. Always concentrating on my strengths was the plan, and I followed it today as well. I want to dedicate this to my father, who is present. An all-arounder is how I always think of myself. "I want to play for the nation and win more games," Trisha stated.

Having promised herself and the country before the matches, India captain Niki Prasad was thrilled to be able to carry on India's dominance in the competition.

"We wanted to demonstrate our abilities by going out there. We appreciate the best facilities provided by the BCCI. I’m feeling happy that I’m right here standing, making sure India stays on top. It's a special moment. I stated at the beginning of the tournament that our goal is to dominate and keep India at the top," she said.

Meet the top players from India's U19 Women's T20 World Cup-winning squad, in light of this.

Gongadi Trisha

Trisha of Hyderabad, who was in scorching form at bat, dominated the tournament more than any other player. She amassed 309 runs at an impressive average of 77.25 in seven matches, including a century, setting the record for most runs in a single edition of the competition.

Trisha, whose father coached her in cricket, also helped out with her leg-spin, taking seven wickets in a row with a best of 3/6. WPL teams must have regretted not selecting her after seeing her all-around performances.

G Kamalini

The left-handed opening batsman from Tamil Nadu scored 143 runs at an average of 47.66 in seven innings, finishing as the third-highest run-scorer in the World Cup. Although Kamalini had a slow start to the tournament, she found her form in the Super Six match against Scotland, scoring 51. She then went on to defeat England in the semifinals with a crucial 56*.

Following her 29-ball 44 for India against Pakistan in the U-19 Asia Cup, Kamalini was sold for Rs 1.6 crore by the first-ever WPL winners, the Mumbai Indians. Kamalini was initially devoted to skating, but after following in her brother's footsteps, she began playing cricket. Her parents relocated from Madurai to Chennai in order to support their children's aspirations.

Vaishnavi Sharma

The U-19 Women's T20 World Cup record for most wickets (17) was set by Vaishnavi, a left-arm orthodox bowler from Gwalior. In the tournament opener, she started with an incredible 5/5, which included a hat-trick against Malaysia, who were bowled out for just 31. She went on to record 1/3 against Sri Lanka, 3/15 against Bangladesh, 3/5 against Scotland, 3/23 against England, and 2/23 against South Africa in the championship match.

Aayushi Shukla

In Malaysia, Aayushi, who are renowned for their pack-hunting skills, were the ideal antidote to Vaishnavi. Aayushi ended the tournament with 14 wickets in seven games, including an impressive 4/8 against Scotland.

Aayushi's spin bowling was crucial in destroying the opposition batting lineups, and the bowlers' exploits were largely responsible for India's successful run to the final and eventual title victory.

Sanika Chalke

Sanika of Mumbai was instrumental in India's championship run, hitting the winning boundary off Monalisa Legodi on Sunday. Sanika was a reliable middle-order batswoman who played an essential supporting role for captain Niki Prasad by providing the Indian openers with vital knocks.

Parunika Sisodia

It wasn't just Vaishnavi and Aayushi who dominated with the ball for India. Parunika's ten wickets gave the team's bowling attack a strong backup. Parunika, another left-arm spinner in the team, finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker in the WPL and is currently with the Gujarat Giants. Periods of 3/21 and 2/6 in the semifinal and final, respectively, were among her standout performances.

VJ Joshitha

Throughout the competition, Joshitha of Kerala played a vital role in the Indian bowling attack by sustaining tight spells. She supported her teammates by being disciplined and keeping her economy rate under five runs per over while taking six wickets in a row.

Shabnam Shakil

The 17-year-old from Visakhapatnam, who was also a member of the South Africa team that won the World Cup in the past, took four wickets in seven games. Similar to Joshitha, one of Shabnam's most notable contributions was her ball control. She finished with a best of 2/9 after delivering 17 overs at an economy rate of just over 4 runs per over.
