Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah's number one ranking in the latest ICC rankings is under threat. Bumrah remains at the top of the Test bowling rankings with 879 rating points. However, he now faces a strong challenge for the top spot, as Australian captain Pat Cummins has climbed four places to reach second position.

Cummins made his return to cricket in the third Ashes Test against England in Adelaide, taking six wickets. The right-arm fast bowler claimed three wickets in each innings, finishing with figures of 6/117 for the match, and helped Australia secure an 82-run victory, giving them an unassailable 3-0 lead in the Ashes series.

Cummins Overtakes Mitchell Starc

Thanks to his outstanding performance, Cummins has overtaken Mitchell Starc to claim the second spot with 849 rating points. The Australian captain is now just 30 rating points behind Bumrah in the top rankings. In the Test batting rankings, Travis Head has climbed four places to reach joint third position with Steve Smith, both having 815 points.

Big Jump in T20I Rankings

In the T20I international bowling rankings, Bumrah has made a significant jump of 10 places. He is now jointly ranked 18th with Sri Lanka's Maheesh Theekshana. Bumrah has 622 rating points. In the fifth T20I match, Bumrah took two wickets for 17 runs.

Tilak Varma in third place

Meanwhile, in the T20I batting rankings, Tilak Varma has made a significant leap, climbing to third place. Tilak Varma delivered a strong performance in the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa. He was the highest run-scorer in the series, accumulating 187 runs in four matches at an average of 62.33 and a strike rate of 131.69.

Rohit retains number one spot

Tilak played a crucial innings of 73 runs off 42 balls in the last T20I match, which helped India post a total of 231 runs. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma remains at the number one position with 908 rating points. In the ODI rankings, Rohit Sharma holds the top spot.
