The first match of the India vs. West Indies ODI series will be played on September 27.
The three-match ODI series between India and the West Indies is set to begin on September 27. The opening match will be held in Thiruvananthapuram. The squad for the series has already been announced, and Team India will soon be seen arriving at the venue to commence their preparations. The second match of the series is scheduled for September 30 (Wednesday) in Guwahati. The third and final match will take place on October 3 (Saturday) in New Chandigarh.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to be seen in action
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will also be seen playing during the series. Since both players now feature only in ODI matches, they are rarely seen on the field. Following the England series, Rohit and Kohli will once again play ODIs; notably, they will be playing on home soil this time, adding to the excitement.
Team India will also be competing in the Asian Games during this period.
Since one Indian squad will be participating in the Asian Games during this series, the team lineup will look significantly different for the West Indies series. The Asian Games are being played in the T20 format, with Shreyas Iyer leading the team there. However, the squad will have returned from Japan by the time the T20 series against the West Indies begins.
