Fawad Khan, a Pakistani celebrity, is unquestionably well-liked in India. With his popular Pakistani drama series Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which also starred Sanam Saeed, he won over millions of Indians in 2014. And we all knew whose Khoobsurat we fell in love with when Fawad Khan appeared in Bollywood with it, headed by Sonam Kapoor. His roles in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Kapoor & Sons won over many more hearts.

However, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was his final Hindi movie appearance. After the 2016 Uri incident, the Karan Johar movie experienced some short-term difficulties.

Pakistani theatre owners chose to stop showing Indian films in retaliation after a Mumbai producers' organisation approved a resolution prohibiting Pakistanis from collaborating on Indian productions.

Following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025, which caused the Fawad Khan film Aabeer Gulaal to miss its May 9 release date in Indian theatres, there has been a prohibition on Pakistani artists working in the Indian film industry ever since.

Sardaar Ji 3, directed by Diljit Dosanjh and starring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, suffered the same fate and was only released abroad.

Aabeer Gulaal, which also stars Indian actor Vaani Kapoor, was released worldwide on Friday, September 12. According to unverified rumours, the movie would be released in Indian theatres on September 26.

When Fawad Khan apologised to his Indian fans for keeping them waiting for so long, here is a flashback. In the eerie series Barzakh, which was aired on ZEE5 in India, the Pakistani beauty sensation starred last year.

"I apologies for keeping my followers waiting for so long, and I have always been very grateful to them for walitting for me. K, however, was out of my grasp.

Everything has its own time, I firmly think. We have another saying that goes, "Aankh ojhal, pahaad ojhal" (out of sight, out of mind), yet you say that "absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Additionally, this occurs," Fawad Khan told PTI. In reference to Aabeer Gulaal, the actor stated, "The coming time is going to be very interesting."

"There is a lot of material that will be released next year if you are waiting for my work. Everything should, in my opinion, go at its own speed and in a pleasant setting.

I hope to have a lot more information coming from my end in 2025," he stated. According to Fawad, "these are exciting times for artists" since streaming space opens up more opportunities for cross-cultural collaborations.

"have always been receptive to partnerships, regardless of their origins. As an artist, I'm hungry. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to work in a field that exposes us to one another's cultures. It's an enjoyable job that teaches you things.

It's not only about the script because people from a variety of backgrounds join the AP project, giving us the opportunity to learn about and experience the world at our own pace and in a variety of ways. Thus, my hunger is satisfied in that broth," he continued.

Fawad Khan recalls meeting actor-director Farhan Akhtar on the set of MS Marvel, the Marvel Studio series in which they both acted, in the same interview.

"Re-establishing contact was really pleasant. We had previously had a brief encounter when I was in India," he remarked. The Maula Jatt actress also mentioned viewing Manoj Bajpayee's The Famnily Man at the time, calling it "attention grabbing."
