Netflix Starting 5 trailer everything you need to know about nba star anthony edwards lebron
Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis, LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, and Jimmy Butler just hit the court.

Have you ever wondered how the world's top athletes manage their personal lives and keep their bodies in good condition during the demanding NBA season? Five of the league's top players are intensely examined behind the scenes in the new 10-part Netflix sports series Starting 5.
The show offers an unvarnished look at life at the top of professional basketball, as five players strive for greatness, overcome setbacks, and juggle the responsibilities of legacy and family. While Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves enthrals fans with his quick ascent, LeBron James of the Lakers works harder than ever to remain healthy and dominant in his 21st season. Domantas Sabonis's versatile play anchors the Kings, Jimmy Butler's unwavering drive drives the Heat, and Jayson Tatum guides the Boston Celtics to an unprecedented 18th championship.
Director Peter Scalettar thinks that a wide range of people, not just basketball fans, will be able to relate to the series' universal themes.
According to Scalettar, "that was sort of driving us — the idea that as much as these are guys we hold on to, guys we think we know everything about because of social media, there's a whole lot more than that." Scalettar adds that it's important to be able to see them at home, as fathers, family men, and ordinary people. Ultimately, it makes it incredibly relatable, and it's entertaining to think, "Oh yeah, LeBron's just like me."
UNINTERRUPTED, in collaboration with Omaha Productions and Higher Ground Productions, is the producer of Starting 5. Explore our guide to each episode and get to know the cast of the new documentary series below.
Meet the Starting 5 Players
LeBron James
About
James, the king of the court, is regarded by many as the best basketball player of all time. Off the court, he uses his platforms to advocate for causes close to his heart, like women's sports visibility, educational equality, and Black pop culture innovators. James is a proud husband and father who enjoys showcasing his family's accomplishments, such as his son Bronny, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Jimmy Butler
About
A multi-talented and multi-interested man, Butler is a formidable force on the court with a history of memorable postseason performances. Butler has a captivating personality and an entertaining life outside of basketball that has enthralled fans, whether he is making excellent coffee, winning dominoes, or making an appearance in a Fall Out Boy music video.
Jayson Tatum
About
Tatum, who was draughted into the NBA at the age of 19, has been hailed as the next big star. However, Tatum's outstanding play raised expectations, bringing attention to his nightly performances. Tatum, who is frequently spotted at games with his son Deuce, came into the 2023–2024 campaign resolved to take on increasing pressure and win a championship with the Boston Celtics. He claims that a significant portion of what he wants to portray in the series is the pressures he endured during the season, both on and off the court.
Tatum informs Tudum that "the mental aspect is just as demanding as the physical aspect." Holding myself to the highest standard means that I never get too high or too low. Although that is my job, I view it from the standpoint that being a father is my most significant role. The series, in my opinion, does a fantastic job of illustrating the equilibrium we must preserve in our lives.
Anthony Edwards
About
With his explosive play on the court and his honesty in post-game interviews, Edwards, who is widely regarded as the NBA's future face, has captured the hearts of fans. When you combine his confidence and charisma with his relentlessness on the court, which results in spectacular dunks and captivating shooting, Edwards has emerged as one of the league's most important stars.
Domantas Sabonis
About
One of the NBA's most reliable players, Sabonis is renowned for setting records, displaying exceptional passing skills, and having a knack for giving his team whatever they need to win. It should not be surprising that Sabonis is so talented because his father, Arvydas, was also an NBA player. However, Domantas maintains a low profile as he establishes his own legacy and puts his family, who are highlighted in the series, first.
Sabonis tells Tudum, "I can't wait for my fans to see me off the court." "If you don't know me personally, you might think I'm a little crazy, or whatever my fans believe I am when I'm playing at my best. When I'm not playing basketball, I am totally different. I just want to look after my family because I'm a husband and father first.
