According to people familiar with the situation, the Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar's positive COVID-19 test on Saturday forced him to miss the concluding session of the three-day Combined Commanders' Conference in Bhopal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the conference's closing session.

"Before the conclusion of the session, the Chief of Naval Staff had a positive COVID-19 test. He didn't go to the meeting," expressed one individuals refered to above.

The conference was attended by Admiral Kumar on Thursday and Friday.

The individual stated, "He is asymptomatic and doing fine."

The Chief of the Navy is now back in Delhi.
