Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan attended the IPL 2025 opening ceremony with his trademark humor, wit, and dance moves. When he brought cricket great Virat Kohli to the stage and made his groove to his hit song "Jhume Jo Pathaan," the actor enchanted the audience.

The fact that Kohli is the only player to have played for the same team since the IPL's founding in 2008 further demonstrated his extraordinary loyalty, according to SRK. "Kohli, Kohli..." was the chant King Khan led to wake up the crowd.

The BCCI gave Virat Kohli a memento as a token of appreciation. Along with officials Arun Dhumal and Rajiv Shukla, board chairman Roger Binny cut a celebratory cake to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the IPL.

Shah Rukh Khan hosted an IPL opening ceremony for the first time, which added to the significance of the event. The actor brought his indisputable charm to the event while wearing his trademark all-black ensemble. Along with hosting the event, he successfully persuaded cricket players Rinku Singh and Virat Kohli to join him on stage for some memorable dance performances.

In a playful request, SRK asked Virat Kohli to groove to Jhoome Jo Pathaan in order to mimic his on-field enthusiasm. Kohli was observed learning the signature step from the Bollywood star, and the two of them performed it together, lighting up the stage with their contagious enthusiasm.

Shah Rukh complimented Rinku Singh's dancing abilities when it was his turn, saying, "I would like to request Rinku to dance to one of my songs because whenever we win a game, Rinku dances really well—especially to my songs." Rinku enthusiastically selected Lutt Putt Gaya, and Virat Kohli was spotted taking in the exciting moment from the sidelines as they performed together.
