ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Full Schedule Announced

Champions Trophy 2025 schedule, which Pakistan will host the following year, has been made public. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced this schedule on Tuesday (24 December), just a day before Christmas.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already made it clear that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan. In such a situation, this tournament will be held under the hybrid model. The ICC has decided 4 venues for the tournament. One of the venues is the Dubai International Stadium in UAE, in which the Indian team will play all its matches.

Indian team's second match will be against Pakistan

The Champions Trophy will begin on February 19, while the title match will be played on March 9. The opening match will be played between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on February 19. The Indian team will play its first match against Bangladesh on February 20.

While the Indian team will play its second match against Pakistan. This great match will be held on February 23 at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. This match is highly anticipated by cricket fans. In the group stage, the Indian team will play its third match against New Zealand on March 3 in Dubai itself.

India and Pakistan in the same group

There will be a total of 15 matches between 8 teams in the Champions Trophy 2025. Every team has been split up into two groups. Pakistan and India are both in Group A. The other two teams with them are New Zealand and Bangladesh. While South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan and England have been placed in Group B.

How many matches will the teams play in each group?

All 8 teams will play 3-3 matches in their respective groups. After this the top-2 teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be in Dubai, while the second in Lahore. After this the final match will be played. In such a situation, if a team reaches the final, then it will play a total of 5 matches in the tournament.

There will be 2 groups in the tournament as follows

  • Group A - Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh
  • Group B - South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan, England

10 matches will be played at 3 venues in Pakistan

All these 15 matches of the Champions Trophy will be played at 4 venues. Out of these, 3 venues will be in Pakistan. While one venue will be in Dubai. Dubai will host all of the Indian team's games. Dubai will also host the final if the Indian squad advances. If not, the championship match is scheduled for March 9 in Lahore.

For the final, a reserve day has also been set aside. The dates of the semi-finals have been confirmed as March 4 and 5. Dubai is where the first semifinal will take place. Lahore is where the second semifinal will take place. 10 matches, including one semi-final will be held at 3 venues in Pakistan. These three venues are Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi.
