The MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor that powers this gadget may not be the newest, but it is more than enough for routine activities like streaming and online surfing.

M11's 11-inch WUXGA display (1920 x 1200 resolution) with TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for eye protection is a feature that goes beyond the processor. M11 seems to be a decent, low-cost tablet on paper. However, how does it function in actual use? I tried the tablet for ten days to find the answer, and I've included a thorough review to assist you make up your mind.

Large display and low weight

Lenovo M11 has a sleek and elegant appearance in terms of design. In addition to being large enough to fully submerge me in the content I'm watching, it feels cozy to take around in my bag. The M11 measures 715 mm in thickness and 465 grammes in weight. The tablet can feel a little hefty after prolonged usage, though. But it takes several hours of constant use before this becomes apparent.

Users are limited to choosing from only one elegant Seafoam Green color option for the tablet, however, the green does have a sleek appearance due to the matt finish.

A single 13-megapixel camera is located on the rear. As I received the LTE version for the review, the sides have the SIM ejector tool, the microphone, and the volume controls. The two speaker grills and the power button are located on top. The USB-C charging connector and an additional set of speaker grills are located on the bottom.

3.5mm headphone jack is one feature that I truly value. Having wired headphones available as a backup to Bluetooth is a convenient feature.

All in all, the M11's overall design feels expensive, even if it has shifted towards affordability. The gadget has an IP52 rating for further security, and it appears robust. This provides some comfort in knowing that it can withstand some dust and unintentional splashes.

Let's talk about the display now. Undoubtedly, the 11-inch display is a suitable size for a tablet. Even though there was some bezel around the edges, it didn't really affect how I watched anything. The screen itself has good contrast, crisp pixels, and a respectable colour gamut.

For around ten days, I used the tablet nonstop for normal tasks like browsing, watching YouTube or Netflix, or just doodling. The display has a good colour spectrum and clean, sharp pixels. The brightness, though, seems like it could have been better. Because the display panel is shiny, glare is difficult to eliminate, even at high brightness settings. When I used it outside on a sunny day or in the workplace, it was quite bothersome.

I had no other issues with the display save the brightness problem; therefore, I had a great overall experience.

Does everything except gaming

Let's go to the main event: the performance. Surprisingly, the M11 performed admirably for my regular usage. On it, I streamed a lot of videos. There was no lag to slow me down, the colours were vivid, and the visual quality was good. In addition to streaming, I browsed and multitasked with it, and there was no discernible lag.

That being said, I wasn't expecting high usage support given that the tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88. As anticipated, the device experienced some lag when I attempted to play a few extremely demanding games on it or had numerous open apps. Basically, everything functions flawlessly as long as you keep things simple, such as reading or watching something on the M11.

Who is the true star of the show? The orators. The four Dolby Atmos speakers in the Lenovo M11's stereo sound system are incredibly powerful. Some phones cut corners on audio quality, even in this price bracket, but the M11 really amazed me. The output of the audio is crisp, clear, and loud. I frequently use external speakers to enhance the audio quality of my gadgets, but I never found the need to do so with the M11.

Now, as I previously indicated, I examined the LTE version and used my Airtel SIM to evaluate the call quality. I had no trouble picking up the phone or using the cellular Internet on the M11 when the connection was on 4G.

Even the 13-megapixel rear camera on the M11 impressed me when I used it for video chats. It captures clear and detailed images, and the camera app includes an entertaining AI mode for experimentation. In all honesty, though, I think the 8-megapixel front camera comes out on top. Of course, it's not as excellent as a phone camera, but it's still decent enough for making video calls and taking hurried notes or selfies when I'm bored.

This version, which supports LTE, also comes with a stylus for writing, drawing, or producing stunning digital artwork by artists. There is no discernible lag when navigating the screen, and it feels nice in my hand. The palm detection, though, was one unsettling feature. Although the tablet can identify the stylus, it has trouble detecting hands and does not block touch input via fingers. This means that if I rested my palm on the screen, I occasionally ended up with unintentional marks and strange strokes.

Lenovo Tab M11 battery

And the 7040mAh battery powers all of this performance. With regular use, it easily lasted me two full days. It takes roughly two hours to fully charge using the USB-C connection and 5V adapter that are included with the device. While it's not the fastest, it does the job. However, the battery life is excellent on its own. In addition, I activated a fantastic animation on the lock screen that displays the battery life along with these cute little doodle faces. It's a pretty nice little touch, in my opinion.

Review of the Lenovo Tab M11: Is it worth buying?

If you've read this far, you already know that anyone looking for a tablet that is both affordable and powerful should consider the Lenovo M11. It is ideal for daily tasks like studying, casual drawing, watching videos, surfing the web, and more—even though it cannot handle intense digital art or gaming.

The M11 has good cameras, respectable performance, and an incredibly long battery life. Additionally, the LTE version with the pen, if you can afford it, adds cellular connectivity and is a useful tool for note-takers or painters.
