In this match, England batted first and scored 351 runs, which Australia easily achieved thanks to Josh Inglis' century. When England scored 350 plus, no one thought that the Australian team would chase such a big score. But on the strength of the batsmen, the Australian team was successful in doing wonders.

Jos Inglis scored a powerful century
The Australian team lost two wickets for 27 runs at one time and looked to be in trouble. Batsmen like Steve Smith and Travis Head had returned to the pavilion. Then Matthew Short and Marnus Labuschagne took over the innings. Both these players presented a sample of well-planned batting. Short scored 63 runs and Labuschagne scored 47 runs. When both these batsmen were out. After that Alex Carey and Jos Inglis stepped on the crease. Both these players destroyed England's bowling attack. Carey scored 69 runs. On the other hand, Inglis remained unbeaten till the end and took rest only after making the Australian team win. He scored 120 runs in 86 balls, which included 8 fours and 6 sixes.

The bowlers of both the teams could not do anything special in the match and flopped badly. Ben Duckett played an innings of 165 runs for England. He has become the batsman to play the biggest innings in the Champions Trophy. Apart from him, Joe Root contributed 68 runs. Captain Jos Buttler was able to score only 23 runs. It is because of these players that the England team was successful in scoring 350 plus runs.
