Smith, who has retired from ODI cricket, will be available for Test and T20 international matches. Smith made his debut as a leg-spinning all-rounder against West Indies in 2010. After this, he became one of the best batsmen in the world by doing wonders in batting. He played 170 ODIs for Australia and scored 5800 runs at an average of 43.28, including 12 centuries and 35 half-centuries. Apart from this, he also took 28 wickets at an average of 34.67.

Won the World Cup twice

Smith, who was part of Australia's 2015 and 2023 World Cup winning team, became the ODI captain in 2015. However, in 2018, after being found involved in the sand paper case, he was removed from the captaincy and was also banned for 1 year. After the ban was lifted, he not only returned to the team but also succeeded in regaining the captaincy after a few years. In the Champions Trophy 2025, he captained Australia in the absence of Pat Cummins and led the team to the semi-finals.
