Samsung is getting ready to release the Galaxy S25 series, which will include the Galaxy S25 Slim, a brand-new model. With its thinner and more compact design, the Galaxy S25 Slim is anticipated to stand out alongside the standard Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the high-end Galaxy S25 Ultra. A fresh leak reveals what makes the Galaxy S25 Slim special while we await Samsung's formal announcement at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is anticipated to take place on January 22, 2025.

Samsung's most recent ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) technology may be used by the Galaxy S25 Slim's telephoto camera, according to reports. This technology, which Samsung Semiconductor recently unveiled, promises to reduce the thickness of smartphones without compromising image quality. Meritz Securities is cited by tipster Jukanlosreve on X as saying that ALoP may be the secret to the Galaxy S25 Slim's svelte design and powerful camera.

So what exactly is ALoP? Simply put, it's a clever telephoto camera design that aids in reducing the camera module's size. The folded optics used by traditional telephoto cameras can be heavy and cause noticeable camera bumps on the back of phones. This is resolved by ALoP, which uses a 40-degree tilted prism with a 10-degree tilted sensor and positions the telephoto lens flat along the phone's plane. In addition to cutting the camera's length by roughly 22% when compared to previous models, this configuration produces crisp images.

The ALoP technology allowed the Galaxy S25 Slim to have a significantly smaller camera bump without sacrificing its excellent zooming capabilities. A 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP5 primary sensor, and a periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom are reportedly included in the phone. That is remarkable for a gadget that is supposedly going to have a 6.66-inch screen.

The advanced telephoto camera is one of the intriguing features that the Galaxy S25 Slim appears to have that even the regular Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will not have. Nonetheless, it is anticipated that all four models in the lineup will make their debut simultaneously. According to rumours, pre-orders will begin on January 24, 2025, and sales will begin on February 4, 2025. The Galaxy S25 Slim's exact specifications won't be known until January, when Samsung will make its official announcement.
