MWC2024: The Samsung Galaxy Ring is already available, but consumers won't have an opportunity to use it for some time.
At MWC 2024, Samsung unveiled a number of prototypes, including the Galaxy Ring, which it had hinted at when launching its flagship Galaxy S24 series. This appears to be a very intriguing option that anyone would want to give a try. Unfortunately, though, customers won't be able to obtain it very soon.
At MWC 2024, Samsung unveiled a number of prototypes, including the Galaxy Ring, which it had hinted at when launching its flagship Galaxy S24 series. It appears to be something that anyone would want to attempt and is really interesting. Unfortunately, though, customers won't be able to obtain it very soon.
I was informed at the demo booth that the Samsung Galaxy Ring would be available for purchase at the end of this year or the beginning of next year. Therefore, we should anticipate seeing it at either the Galaxy Fold 6 series launch later this year or the Galaxy S25 event early next year. The precise specifics are still unknown.
However, we do know that Samsung will offer it in three colors—black, golden, and silver—and nine distinct sizes. The rings had sizes written in S, L, XL, and other increments. The ring will work similarly to a smartwatch in terms of measuring your health; the only drawbacks are that it lacks a display and has a small number of sensors.
The device appears to have a lightweight design and doesn't have a substantial body, which begs the question of how they managed to put all the technology in this little ring—even if it was forbidden to touch the prototype. The substance has a glossy appearance and appears to be metal. It has a somewhat similar appearance to the Noise Luna Ring and seems really elegant on the fingers. However, as this is still a prototype, things might differ slightly when it makes its official debut.
Features like SpO2, sleep tracking, and heart rate monitoring are probably in store. As soon as it launches globally, we will receive precise and official facts. However, bear in mind that the Galaxy Ring is going to be expensive because this is cutting-edge technology that is still in the research and development stage. Furthermore, Noise's Luna Ring is priced at Rs 19,999 when it is sold in India, so you can only speculate as to how much more costly the Samsung Galaxy Ring may be.
It will be interesting to watch how Samsung approaches this technology, even if the Indian market currently offers smart rings that evaluate your health from companies like boAt and Noise.
