Akram told Sportskeeda that Gaikwad gave a great performance under pressure and that he believes he has a bright future ahead of him. In IPL 2023, Gaikwad averaged 42.14 runs per game, scoring 590 runs in 16 matches.

Under pressure, he produced an excellent performance. He has the advantage of being physically fit. He is young but has excellent fielding skills. Gaikwad has a splendid future with regards to Indian cricket as well as the establishments he plays for," said Akram.

In the meantime, Mohammad Kaif, a former batter for India, praised India and GT opener Shubman Gill, stating that Gill is mentally very strong and can score regardless of the conditions. With 890 runs scored in 17 matches, Gill was IPL 2023's leading run scorer.

Gill is a very focused and well-organized player. He knows how to score contingent upon the circumstances. Big players don't slow down when they're in good form. Kaif stated, "They are mentally alert and want to maximize their gains."

He went on to say that Gill's effort is obvious and that he won GT the match against Mumbai Indians on his own. Gill's score of 129 runs off 60 balls against MI was the highest for an individual in IPL 2023.

“During practice, it is clear that Gill is hungry and puts in a lot of effort. He won the game for Gujarat against Mumbai by himself," Kaif continued.

With their IPL 2023 victory, CSK has joined Mumbai Indians to turn into the joint-best sides in the opposition with five titles each.
