DC vs. KKR: In the 48th Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) match, the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders squared off against one another.  The Delhi Capitals had to lose to Kolkata in this game, which was played at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium.  By a margin of 14 runs, the Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the hosts, DC.

DC's team was only able to score 190 runs in response to KKR's 204 runs.  The Delhi team was forced to suffer their third home loss in this manner.  Delhi has only won one of their four games at Arun Jaitley Stadium thus far.  However, after three games, the Kolkata Knight Riders have won for the first time.  KKR has lost two of their last three games, and one was cancelled because of rain.

Faf du Plessis was Delhi's top scorer with 62 runs. Sunil Narine was the KKR player with the most wickets (3).  Chakraborty Varun claimed two wickets.  Each of Vaibhav Arora, Andre Russell, and Anukul Roy took one wicket.

Rinku and Raghuvanshi played a great innings

The Kolkata Knight Riders were asked to bat first and earlier amassed 204 runs at a cost of nine wickets thanks to a half-century partnership between Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh. Rinku Singh scored 36 runs in 25 balls, while Raghuvanshi needed three fours and two sixes to score 44 runs in 32 balls. Rinku cracked a six and three fours. A 61-run partnership between Raghuvanshi and Rinku for the fifth wicket enabled the team to score more than 200 runs.

The Kolkata squad was unable to score many runs in the final overs.  Delhi scored only 45 runs in the final 5 overs.  To get his team over 200 runs, Andre Russell hit two straight fours to Chameera in the 19th over and then hit a six to Starc in the final over.

Russell was run out on the next ball, but in the final over, Starc sent Rovman Powell and Anukul Roy to the pavilion on two balls in a row.  Sunil Narine, the KKR opener, scored 27 runs, while Rahmanullah Gurbaz added 26.  Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane, the captain, played a 26-run innings.  After hitting 17 runs off of 9 balls, Russell was out.

Mitchell Starc was the most successful bowler for DC

Mitchell Starc, a fast bowler for Delhi, claimed three wickets for 43 runs. Akshar Patel, the captain, claimed two wickets for 27 runs.  Vipraj Nigam, a leg spinner, claimed two wickets.  One wicket was taken by Dushmantha Chameera. Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar were unable to claim any wickets.
