Young Indian brigade stands up after initial hiccup
The young Indian stars did face a lot of criticism on social media during the first Twenty20 International match loss, with some fans even going so far as to call them IPL players. But players like Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ravi Bishnoi stepped up to make it easy for them to win the series.
Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dube, who were recruited to the Indian side for the T20 World Cup, gave them more strength, which finally proved to be too much for the hosts. Despite everything, Shubman Gill led his team with poise, and the young player is pleased with the team's final performance.
It would be intriguing to see who from this current squad plays in the T20I series as India go on a new cycle led by Gautam Gambhir, especially with the Sri Lanka tour approaching.
