  • Google will launch Pixel 9 series on August 13
  • The series includes Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold
  • Leaked prices: Pixel 9 price starts at Rs 82,000, Pixel 9 Pro Fold price goes up to Rs 184,000

On August 13, Google will introduce its flagship Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are all part of the lineup; the latter will be introduced in the Indian market for the first time. When Google first released the Google Pixel Fold, India was left out. Additionally, Google has confirmed that the Pixel 9 Pro will have some AI features. These features include the following: RCS with iPhones; Call Screen; Image Generation; Live Translate; Help Me Write; Image Extender; and Pixel Screenshots, which will function similar to Microsoft AI Recall. Still, apart from the verified data, rumors about the Pixel 9 series have also been plenty.

Google Pixel 9 series specs that have been rumoured

There have been a lot of theories floating around regarding the flagship phones prior to their formal presentation next month. Numerous reports have surfaced revealing the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro smartphones' processor, design, display, and camera specifications. The most recent one provides information on the devices' designs and colourways.

Not much has changed in the most recent renders. They formally confirm previous speculations that the Pixel 9 will sport one fewer camera than the Pro and XL models. A revised camera island with sharper edges and a slightly larger appearance is present on the rear of the new gadgets.

Pixel 9 Pro XL's bootloader images were previously disclosed by an XDA user who purportedly obtained hands-on shots of the device. It looked from one of these photos that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will have 256GB of storage and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Furthermore, the Android 15 Beta 4 codename has a reference to the Satellite SOS feature seen in the Pixel 9 series, as reported by Android Authority. The string indicates that there might be a two-year free trial period for this feature.

Google Pixel 9 series rumoured pricing

The prices of the new Pixel devices in France were revealed earlier this month. Dealabs reports that the Pixel 9 will come in 4 colour variations: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Cosmo (presumably pink), and Mojito (possibly green). The 128GB model of the Pixel 9 will cost €899 (about Rs. 82,000), while the 256GB version will cost €999 (roughly Rs. 91,000).

The Pixel 9 Pro price will start at €1,099 (roughly Rs. 100,000) for 128GB, €1,199 (roughly Rs. 110,000) for 256GB, and €1,329 (roughly Rs. 121,000) for 512GB. Reportedly, the highest-end variant will only be available in Obsidian and Hazel, while the other models may also come in Porcelain and Pink.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL, on the other hand, will cost €1,199 (about Rs. 110,000) for 128GB, €1,299 (roughly Rs. 118,000) for 256GB, €1,429 (roughly Rs. 130,000) for 512GB, and €1,689 (roughly Rs. 153,000) for the 1TB size. It is rumoured that the 1TB model will only be offered in Obsidian, although the 128GB and 512GB models might also come in Hazel and Porcelain. There may be a Pink version of the 256GB model as well.

Finally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which replaces last year's Pixel Fold, will be priced at €1,899 (roughly Rs. 173,000) for the 256GB variant and €2,029 (roughly Rs. 184,000) for the 512GB variant and will apparently be available only in Obsidian and Porcelain
