X TV App: All details

Now the question is, will X be just a social media platform when it comes to TV? The answer is, we don't think so. As per the description and screenshots shared on Google Play, the X TV app is actually a new OTT stream. It says, "X-Stream Service TV is a great streaming TV service available exclusively to X-Stream Service Internet subscribers. You can watch TV the way you want and when you want. No need to rent a set-top box! You can watch all your favorite live local, news, sport, movie, music and weather channels instantly or watch later."

The X TV app also includes many features such as:

-Replay TV: Never miss one of your favorite shows again! Replay TV from X-Stream Services allows you to instantly access up to 72 hours of show storage in the cloud.

-Startover TV: You will never miss the beginning of a movie or show you want to watch. With the Startover TV feature, you can choose what to watch right from the beginning.

-Free Cloud DVR: Free DVR storage for up to 100 hours of recordings. There's more storage accessible.

X TV app: How to use it?

Regarding the beta version, in order to view the content of the application, the user needs to have an X account. The app is currently limited to Android smart TVs. Install X TV by searching for it on your smart TVs.

We are currently unaware of how to subscribe to the application. It seems likely that this information will only be made public on launch day.

The launch of the XTV app will give users another option to watch content. But this is not good news for other OTT and video streaming applications like YouTube.
