In the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), Hardik Pandya, chose to bat first against Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals (RR) in what was his 100th match for the MI.

After winning the toss, Hardik remarked, "It's a very surreal feeling to play the 100th game for the franchise; I started my journey with MI, and I'm very grateful."

The MI captain added that MI has changed three players on their team.

We will bat first since it appears to be a nice surface and because we haven't seen any dew in the last several days. Three changes have occurred: Nuwan, Wadhera, and Piyush Chawla. Shepherd leaves with Madhwal and Shreyas Gopal, said Hardik.

Sanju Samson, the captain of RR, stated that they had changed one thing and that they still wanted to bowl first.

It's okay; we just had a little different notion about the toss. You are aware of the length of the event; during our five-day break, we talked about our plans and concentrated on the system and the procedure. We are familiar with the wicket's behavior because we have played several games here. We have to perform well because MI is renowned for fighting back strong in the competition. Kuldeep Sen loses out since Sandeep Sharma has returned to our side, according to Samson.
