Tata Motors has launched the ICE version of the Curve in India with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. This is after the launch of the Curve.EV and is available till October 31. The ICE Curve is based on a new architecture called Atlas, created by the carmaker for ICE vehicles.
The Curve ICE is available with two petrol engines (1.2 L Revotron petrol turbocharged engine and new Hyperion gasoline direct injection engine) and one diesel engine (1.5 L Criojet diesel engine). All of the engines are coupled to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Two petrol engines—the 1.2 L Revotron turbocharged engine and the new Hyperion direct injection engine—and one diesel engine—the 1.5 L Criojet diesel engine—are available for the Curve ICE. A 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox is mated to each engine.
Talking about the features, the Curve gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, along with features like a JBL branded audio system (9 speakers including subwoofer), Level 2 ADAS, powered tailgate with gesture control, powered driver seat, panoramic sunroof, etc. Just like the EV, the Curve also gets a large boot capacity of 500 liters which is the highest in the class. The Curve will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos as well as the Toyota Hyder and others.
