The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Unbox event 2025 took place on Monday, and the video of Virat Kohli mocking Bhuvneshwar Kumar's throwing abilities went viral on social media before he defeated Liam Livingstone.
The footage shows Virat Kohli and his RCB teammates throwing sponge balls into the stands following their first official practice at the 2025 RCB Unbox event. Those sponge balls are a way for ardent RCB supporters to show their affection for their favorite IPL team.
The ball didn't travel very far when thrown by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who rejoined the RCB after an incredible 14-year absence. When he noticed this, Virat Kohli made fun of Bhuvneshwar Kumar before he started laughing. Then he tossed a couple of balls into the crowd himself.

Liam Livingstone gave throwing the ball a try shortly after. Walking next to the Englishman, Virat Kohli threw another that was farther away than Liam Livingstone. The former RCB captainresponded to this by pointing to his teammate as though he had won a fight.

Virat Kohli backs new RCB captain Rajat Patidar
Virat Kohli later in the evening endorsed Rajat Patidar, the recently appointed RCBcaptain, to be the team's long-term leader. Being with RCB since the start of the IPL in 2008, Virat Kohli has been the team's face for over ten years.
This season, the South African moved to the Delhi Capitals, and Rajat Patidar took over as captain in place of Faf du Plessis. Virat Kohli told the supporters, "This guy is going to lead you for a long time."
