Honda Shine 100 DX vs Hero Splendor: New Budget Bike War Begins
The newest bike in the commuter market that competes with the Hero Splendour is the Honda Shine 100 Deluxe.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced the new Honda Shine 100 DX, adding to its selection of entry-level motorcycles in the Indian market. The bike is in a highly sought-after category among everyday commuters, and its costs were disclosed around August 1.
In the brand's lineup, it comes after the Livo and will go up against models like Hero Splendour, Bajaj Platina 100, and others in India. We examine the new bike's specifications here.
Its design, to start, delivers a recognisable appearance with new components. The Honda Shine 100 DX has a prominent headlamp with chrome accents encircled by a plastic shell, just like other commuter bikes.
Additionally, there is a slim fuel tank with a 10-liter capacity that complements the bike's single-piece seat. The brand's four colours scheme options—Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Grey Metallic—complement all of it.
The brand is providing a fully digital LCD instrument cluster on the machine to match the style. It gives users access to all the information they need, including distance to empty and real-time mileage. Additionally, it features a 1.9-meter turning radius.
The bike has dual shock absorbers at the back and a telescopic front suspension. In the meantime, drum brakes on both ends handle the braking tasks. The bike is also equipped with tubeless tires on both ends.
The Honda Shine 100 DX, which has a diamond-shaped frame, has a 98.98 cc single-cylinder engine that generates 7 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.04 Nm at 5,000 rpm. It functions in tandem with a multiplate wet clutch and a four-speed gearbox. It has both kick-start and self-start options.
