Anshul will make his debut for the five-time IPL champion in IPL 2024, following Naman Dhir as the other Indian player.
The player was signed by MI for INR 20 lakhs at the IPL 2024 auction.
Kamboj is from a farming family in Karnal and was a net bowler for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the past.
Kamboj tore Travis Head's defense in his second over against SRH, leaving his stumps in shambles. Nevertheless, when it became clear that Kamboj had overreached, Head was given a lifeline. When Kamboj tried to go for Head again in his third over, Nuwan Thushara dropped a simple catch at deep third. Two deliveries later, he finally claimed his first IPL wicket, dismissing Mayank Agarwal.
