Former RCB captain Virat Kohli has risen to the top of the Orange Cap holding list in the present Indian Premier League (IPL) following the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match on March 30. The former captain, Kohli, won the Orange Cap in 2016. This season, he hopes to repeat that performance.
One of the most coveted trophies in the IPL competition is the orange cap, which is given to the player who scores the most runs throughout the season. Virat Kohli of the RCB defeated Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad to go from third to first place. With an average of 90 and a strike rate of 141, Kohli has currently amassed 181 runs. After batting out the innings, Kohli smashed an unbeaten 83* in just 59 deliveries, smacking 4 fours and 4 sixes.Klaasen, who was ranked first, is now ranked second. He has scored 143 runs at an average of 143 and a strike rate of 226.
After hitting an incredible 84 not out off 45 balls in the RR vs. DC game, Rajasthan Royals' Riyan Parag, who had previously been ranked number one on the list, is now at number three. Maintained at number 9 is Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Shivam Dube. Dube has scored 85 runs in two matches with a strike rate of 166 and an average of 85. KKR's Phil Salt has made an entry after yesterday's match, pacing him at number 10 on the IPL run scorers list with a score of 84 runs, a strike rate of 140, and an average of 42.
Shivam Dube of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is still ranked ninth. With an average of 85 and a strike rate of 166, Dube has amassed 85 runs in just two games. After yesterday's game, Phil Salt of KKR made an appearance on the IPL run scorers list, where he is currently at number 10 with an average of 42, a strike rate of 140, and 84 runs scored.
