IPL 2023: When Virat Kohli starts training, a lot of RCB fans show up in Bengaluru to watch a practice.
IPL 2023: On Sunday, March 26, Virat Kohli and his RCB teammates, which also included captain Faf du Plessis and star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, began training for the upcoming season. The instructional course was set to be trailed by a unique occasion highlighting Chris Gayle and Stomach muscle de Villiers in Bengaluru.
On Sunday, March 26, hundreds of fans attended Virat Kohli's first training session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to see him in action. Even as fans flocked to the stadium to take pictures of their favorite star getting ready for the IPL 2023 season, Kohli was seen batting at the nets.
As the devoted RCB fans were permitted entry to the iconic stadium for the training session, which will be followed by a special event that will also feature legendary Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, a few of the stands were filled to capacity. Notably, the franchise will present the two former RCB players with official congratulations on Sunday evening.
RCB also set up a live music stage with DJs on it for the training session to keep fans entertained.
Virat Kohli was seen having an extended visit with Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell before he took cushioned up and got into the nets. In the lead-up to the IPL, RCB were seen using net bowlers for their first training session.
Sanjay Bangar, the new head coach, was in the thick of the action while supervising the training session. Skipper Faf du Plessis was likewise cushioned up as he was having conversations with the care staff on a lovely night in Bengaluru.
The training session, which took place in opulence at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, also attracted celebrities like Dinesh Karthik and Reece Topley.
As the action returned to the home field of RCB for the first time in three years, there was a lot of excitement there. For the first time since 2019, the Indian Premier League will play home-away games. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the entire IPL 2020 season and a portion of the IPL 2021 season were played in the UAE. Teams didn't get to play at their home games during the IPL 2022 season, which was played at multiple venues in Mumbai and Pune.
In preparation for the IPL 2023 season, which will begin on March 31 with MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings taking on the defending champion Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad, all IPL teams have begun training at their respective home grounds.
On Sunday, April 2, RCB will play at home against Mumbai Indians, who have won the IPL five times.
As the India batsman enters the new IPL season after breaking his international century drought, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli. Kohli has scored up to three centuries, including a hundred in the 2023 Test against Australia.
