Google just released its 'Year in Search 2024' for Pakistan, just like it did for India. The following are the most popular Google searches in Pakistan in 2024, encompassing a variety of topics and trends.
The six categories on Google's 2024 year-end list for Pakistan are: People, Movies and Drama, How-to, Recipes, Tech, and cricket. Google lists the top ten searches for these topics in their year-end roundup.
By the way, Google's 'Year in Search 2024' for Pakistan featured a lot of content about or associated with India. Indian business executives, Indian television series on over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as Sony, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, and Indian cricket matches in the T20 World Cup series were among them.
What 'India things' Pakistanis looked up on Google in 2024, including Big Boss
Cricket: India matches were among the top five cricket matches searched for in Pakistan. The India-Pakistan match at the T20 World Cup was undoubtedly one of them. In addition, India vs. Australia, India vs. England, and India vs. South Africa were the other matches that received the most searches. The Indian cricket team participated in all of these important T20 World Cup matches.
People: In the 'People list for Pakistan' was Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani from India.
Movies and Drama: The majority of Indian TV series and up to four Bollywood films are included in the "Movies & Drama" list. Heeramandi, 12th Fail, Mirzapur Season 3, and Bigg Boss 17 are among the television series. Animal, Stree 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Dunki are the four Bollywood films that were listed as the most Googled films of 2024 in Pakistan.
Google searches for "nothing Pakistani" in India in 2024
Google's 'Year in Search' for India showed absolutely no trending searches pertaining to Pakistan. India's searches this year covered a wide range of topics, including "demure and mindful" (and hilarious!) memes, quirky (or Pookie!) lingo, sports fervour (from the IPL to the Olympics), and entertainment love across languages (from Street 2 to K-dramas). As we remembered the late Ratan Tata, we honoured our athletes, from Vineeth Phogat to Hardik Pandya.
The blog on the trends and themes that shaped India's Year in Search 2024 stated, "We dreamed about the wanderlust favourite this year, Azerbaijan, and explored new themes, be it with relationships (Orange Peel Theory, Throning Dating) or workplace behaviours (Gen Z boss work memes)."
