How to do Ganpati Sthapana on Ganesh Chaturthi
- On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, after taking a bath, etc., wear clean yellow or red clothes. Take a vow to fast.
- Place the puja chowki in the northeast direction and spread a red or white cloth on it. Decorate Bappa's tableau. It will be auspicious to use fragrant flowers and mango leaves.
- Place some rice on the chowki and install the idol of Ganesh Ji in the auspicious time. Install the Kalash on the right side of Ganpati.
- Put water, mango leaves, coin, and rice in the Kalash, place a coconut on top, and tie a mauli on it.
- Offer kumkum, sandalwood, turmeric, sindoor, mehndi, gulaal, akshat, abir, gulaal, red flower, cloves, cardamom, betel leaf, sacred thread and coconut to Ganesh ji.
- Make durva in pairs and offer it. Offer laddu or modak as prasad. Listen to the story of Ganesh Chaturthi. In the end, perform aarti, offer flowers and then distribute prasad to everyone.
