- L&T will build a 14 feet wide corridor for the convenience of visitors.
- The length of this corridor will be 790 meters.
After having darshan of Ramlala seated in the grand temple, devotees will also be able to circumambulate the Lord. For this, a corridor will be built around the Ram temple. All the temples under construction in the temple compound will be included under this corridor. The length of the 14 feet long corridor will be 790 running meters i.e. about 2591 feet.
The responsibility of its construction work has been handed over to Larsen & Toubro, the implementing agency building the temple, by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Ever since the grand temple took shape on the birthplace and Lord Shri Ram was installed in it, his devotees are continuously reaching from far off places for darshan. Every day around one lakh devotees are having darshan, but their desire of circumambulation is not being fulfilled yet.
The corridor will be 790 meters long
The reason is that there is no space available for circumambulation around the Ram temple, where devotees can circumambulate their deity. The trust has decided to build a corridor around the temple for the convenience of the devotees. All the temples being built in the rampart will be included in this 790 meter long corridor.
Temples of various deities and Saptarishis are currently under construction in the Ram Mandir complex. Some of these will be completed by December this year and some by March next year. Along with these temples, the construction work of the corridor has also been started.
The length of the corridor will be 14 feet
L&T Project Director VK Mehta said that the width of the corridor is 14 feet. At present, wherever there is space, the construction work of the corridor is also going on simultaneously. Efforts are being made to complete the construction of the corridor along with the completion of the construction of the temples, so that devotees can do parikrama.
