Vande Metro Train: After Vande Bharat, now Vande Metro Train will make the journey of passengers easier. Vande Metro Train manufactured at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala will have 16 coaches. Research Design and Standards Organization will test it and after that it will be made available to the passengers. Vande Metro Train will be equipped with Kavach system.

Harnek Singh Jainpuri, Kapurthala. After Vande Bharat train, now the country's first Vande Metro train is ready to run. The prototype rack of 16 coaches of Vande Metro train manufactured at Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala will be handed over to Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) this month.
RDSO will conduct trials of Vande Metro train on various rail tracks for some time and if the trial is successful, it will be made available to Indian railway passengers.
Vande Metro is designed like Vande Bharat
RDSO is the technical advisory organization of the Ministry of Railways. This first Indigenous semi-high-speed train of India has been designed by the skilled engineers and employees of RCF just like Vande Bharat.
The construction work of this Vande Metro train with a rack of 16 coaches is almost complete and in the coming few days, the prototype rack will be dispatched by a representative of Punjab in the Central Government.
4,364 passengers will be able to travel
RCF General Manager Manjul Mathur says that Vande Metro train has been designed for the convenience of intercity passengers traveling a distance of 250 km.
Vande Metro train will be a train with 16 air-conditioned coaches whose maximum speed will be 130 km per hour. Each coach has the capacity to carry 280 passengers.
100 passengers will be able to sit in them and 180 passengers will be able to travel standing. A total of 4,364 passengers will be able to travel comfortably on the entire train.
These facilities are available in Vande Metro
3x3 bench-type seating arrangement will help maximum passengers enjoy a comfortable journey. Giving priority to passenger communication, Vande Metro coaches will be equipped with a backup system to communicate with the train driver in case of emergency.
Each coach is fitted with a fire and smoke detection system with 14 sensors so that any kind of smoke arising in the train can be detected immediately. For the convenience of Divyangjan, the coaches will also have wheel-chair accessible toilets.
