Free Aadhaar card update: There is good news for those who want to update their Aadhaar card for free. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the organization issuing Aadhaar cards, has extended the last date for updating Aadhaar online for free. Earlier, this last date was 14 December 2024, which has been extended to 14 June 2025. This will benefit crores of Aadhaar card holders. UIDAI has extended this deadline several times. This deadline was originally set for June 14, 2024, but it was later moved to September 14 and December 14 of the same year.

You can change the photo, address, gender, name, date of birth, etc. on the Aadhaar card. Apart from this, you can also change the mobile number and email linked to Aadhaar. To update your Aadhaar card details, you may need documents like a ration card, voter ID, passport, and address proof. You can easily update your Aadhaar card details offline as well. You'll need to visit the closest Aadhaar center to accomplish this. There is a 50 rupee fee to update your Aadhaar offline.

Step 1. First of all, you have to go to the Aadhaar website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.

Step 2. Now log in using OTP.

Step 3. After this, your profile will appear. Now update the information you want to change.

Step 4. Now attach its proof and submit it. The size of the document should not be less than 2 MB. The file format should be JPEG, PNG, or PDF.

There are no fees, so you are not required to pay anything. You can update only those details online that do not require demographic updates.
