Raksha Bandhan Shubh Muhurat

Astrologers have cautioned about the Rahukaal even though this year's Raksha Bandhan is not during the unfavourable Bhadra period. This day coincides with the timing of Rahukaal, an unlucky time in Vedic astrology that should be avoided.

Any auspicious activity carried out during Rahukaal may encounter obstacles or unfavourable results.  Sisters are therefore cautioned against tying Rakhi during this one-hour, forty-minute window.

Experts advise tying the Rakhi during the Abhijit Muhurat (12:00 PM to 12:53 PM), which is regarded as extremely auspicious in Vedic astrology, to guarantee success and positivity.  Rakhi tying and other sacred rituals are thought to be most effective during this 53-minute window.
