MS Dhoni's 110m 6 best thing: Dinesh Karthik jokes after RCB beats CSK

- RCB defeated CSK by 27 runs on Saturday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
- RCB won six straight games to earn a postseason spot.
In a lighthearted statement, Dinesh Karthik stated that MS Dhoni's 110-meter six-ball helped RCB defeat CSK in Saturday's IPL 2024 encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Super Kings needed to score 201 runs to secure their fourth-place finish and advance to the postseason, even though they had to chase down 219 runs.
Before the final over, Dhoni struck Yash Dayal for a grand slam, leaving CSK 17 runs short of a post-season berth. Dayal delivered a hip-height full toss on the leg stump, but Dhoni was unable to see the ball. On the second ball, though, Dayal made up for it by hitting Dhoni with a slower delivery.
As RCB defeated CSK by 27 runs to advance to the playoffs, Dayal regained his groove after that. Dayal bowled with the replacement ball with ease following Dhoni's massive blow, according to Karthik, who made this motivating statement in the dressing room.
"Dhoni's six outside the ground and the new ball we got to bowl with were the best things that happened today," Karthik remarked.
"Yash, you bowled really well there. Always bowl a hip-high full toss on the leg stump if in doubt. It's a fantastic slogan to stick to when the ball becomes wet, Karthik joked, wherever he may be.

"This team will live in memory."
Karthik also praised RCB for their remarkable comeback. After losing six straight games, the Challengers were at the bottom of the standings at one point. However, Faf du Plessis' team turned things around and won six straight games after that.
"Despite the jokes, we ought to feel incredibly proud of the trip we are on. Certain trips will always stick in people's memories. People will remember this team for a very long time because of the manner in which we bounced back after eight games and won six of them, Karthik continued.
In the eliminator, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 22, at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, RCB will now square off against either SRH or RR.
