  • According to leader of Congress Vijay Wadettiwar, Kangana Ranaut claimed to have eaten beef once.
  • Wadettiwar's comment, according to BJP leader Keshav Upadhye, "reflects the dirty culture" of the Congress.
  • 'Anti-women' is how BJP leader Shaina NC describes the Congress.

The Lok Sabha candidate of the BJP for the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, was accused by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar on Friday of having previously stated that she ate beef. According to a PTI news agency report, the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly claimed that the BJP had given Ranaut a ticket despite the fact that she had written on X that she like and consumed beef.

In response to Wadettiwar's statement, BJP spokesman Keshav Upadhye claimed that it demonstrated the "dirty culture" of the Congress.

This illustrates the filthy culture of Congress. It can't argue with us about things. This demonstrates the defeatist mindset of the party," PTI cited him as saying.

BJP leader Shaina NC charged that the Congress was "anti-women" and cited comments made by MP Randeep Surjewala against his colleague Hema Malini as well as a post released by party leader Supriya Shrinate about Kangana Ranaut.

"If the Congress party is so defunct of any thought process, I think the befitting answer will be on June 4 when the women of India speak up and vote against this anti-woman party called the Congress," stated Shaina NC.

After an offensive picture of Kangana Ranaut was uploaded on Supriya Shrinate's Instagram account, a storm broke out.

A picture of Kangana Ranaut in skimpy clothing was posted on social media with an offensive comment, only one day after the BJP announced her as a candidate for the Lok Sabha.

Days later, the BJP launched a fierce attack on Randeep Surjewala after Amit Malviya, the head of the party's IT department, posted an undated video on X in which the Congress MP could be heard making offensive comments about Hema Malini.
