BJP Candidate List 2024: Modi will fight from Varanasi, Shah from Gandhinagar the BJP's first list will alter the political equations.
BJP Candidate List 2024: 195 names including Modi, Rajnath, and Shah in BJP's first list
Following the successful formula for assembly elections in three states, the BJP has announced more candidates than the alliance. The first name in the first list of 195 candidates is that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will contest elections for the third time from his old constituency Varanasi. Along with him, Rajnath Singh will contest elections again from Lucknow and Amit Shah from Gandhinagar.
BJP has trust in Om Birla and Shivraj.
On the other side, Rajiv Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Mansukh Mandaviya from Porbandar, Gujarat, and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav from Alwar, Rajasthan, have all been handed tickets to the Rajya Sabha. Tickets have also been issued to former Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla received the ticket from Kota once more. The BJP typically makes a lot of face changes to its list of candidates. However, this time, the revisions to the list that have been made public are only apparent in the states where a new opposition alliance has formed or where the candidate is facing a strong anti-incumbency movement.
Announcement of four new candidates in Delhi
A prime illustration of this is the collaboration between Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. Out of the five candidates that have been made public thus far, the party has revealed four fresh names. Following the withdrawal of New Delhi Minister Meenakshi Lekhi's ticket, Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri Swaraj, a recent activist, has been nominated for this role. Many MPs who had run for assembly in states like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are the main cause of the changes made to some of the names.
Candidate announcements for state-wise seats
BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde provided details about the candidates selected at the Central Election Committee meeting two days prior. He stated that the first list includes the Lok Sabha seats controlled by 16 states.

BJP expressed trust in Manoj Tiwari.
Other than Manoj Tiwari, the other four faces in Delhi are fresh. Vinod Tawde claims that all social classes, castes, and societies were represented in the candidate selection process. 34 of them are female, 27 belong to the Scheduled Caste, 18 to the Scheduled Tribe, and 57 to the Other Backward Classes. In an effort to emphasize the strength of the young, 47 candidates under 50 have also been fielded. In an attempt to end the trend in Kerala, the BJP has also fielded Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar against Thiruvananthapuram's Shashi Tharoor, along with veteran Congressman AK Antony's son Anil Antony and actor Suresh Gopi. Singhbhum has handed Congress MP Geeta Koda, who recently joined the BJP, a ticket.
Keeping the target of crossing 400 in mind
Similarly, Ambedkar Nagar resident Ritesh Pandey, who defected from the BSP and joined the BJP, has also been declared the candidate. Additionally, 34 Union Ministers are listed on the BJP's first list. Vinod Tawde claims that the candidates were chosen with the goal of gaining 370 seats for the BJP and over 400 seats for the NDA in mind. The names of the candidates were discussed in the state election committees for this reason following the completion of a local survey. The candidates were chosen at the Central Election Committee meeting, which was attended by Party President JP Nadda and Prime Minister Modi, based on the findings of the state election committees.
