India's young batsman Shubman Gill has batted brilliantly at Chennai's Chepauk Stadium and scored a century against Bangladesh. Gill completed his century in the second session on Saturday, the third day. This is the fifth century of this right-handed batsman.

Gill, who returned to the pavilion without opening the account in the first innings, played a sensible innings in the second innings. After the departure of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Gill took responsibility and along with Rishabh Pant brought the team to a strong position. Gill scored this century at Chennai's Chepauk, which is called the second home of former India captain MS Dhoni. Dhoni plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
