IND vs SA 2nd T20I: The second match of the T20 series between India and South Africa was held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. Both the Indian team's batting and bowling failed to click in this match.
India vs South Africa 2nd T20I: Tilak Varma was the only Indian to perform well. He scored 62 runs. For South Africa, Othniel Bartman took four wickets. The Indian team had a poor start in the chase. Shubman Gill failed to open his account and was dismissed by Lungi Ngidi. Marco Jansen dismissed fellow opener Abhishek Sharma (17 runs). Jansen then dismissed Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav (5 runs). At Surya's dismissal, India were 32/3. From there, Axar Patel and Tilak Varma added 35 runs for the fourth wicket. Axar scored 21 runs at a strike rate of 100 before being dismissed by Othniel Bartman.
Tilak Verma remained at the crease and reached his fifty off 27 balls. Tilak lacked support from the other end. Hardik Pandya was expected to bat well, but he managed only 20 runs off 23 balls. Jitesh Sharma (27 runs) was the sixth batsman to be dismissed, dismissed by Lutho Sipamla. Shivam Dube, who came in at number eight, was then dismissed by Ottniel Bartman for just 1 run. De Kock's brilliant innings for South Africa
South Africa, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 213 runs for four wickets. South Africa got off to a good start. Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks put on 38 runs for the first wicket. Varun Chakravarthy broke this partnership by dismissing Hendricks (8 runs). De Kock and Markram then added 83 runs for the second wicket. During this partnership, de Kock reached his fifty off just 26 balls. Meanwhile, Markram (29 runs) was unable to convert his good start into a big innings and was dismissed by Varun.
Quinton de Kock looked set to score a century, but was run out by some brilliant fielding by Indian wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. De Kock scored 90 runs off 46 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes. South Africa were 156/3 when de Kock departed. South Africa's fourth wicket then fell in the form of Dewald Brevis (14 runs), who was caught by Axar Patel.
From here, David Miller and Donovan Ferreira added an unbeaten 53-run partnership for the fifth wicket off 23 balls to take South Africa to a big total. Ferreira contributed 30* off 16 balls, including three sixes and one four. Miller scored an unbeaten 20 off 12 balls, which included two fours and a six.

South Africa made three changes to their playing XI for this match. Reeza Hendricks, George Linde, and Ottneil Baartman returned for the match. Anrich Nortje, Tristan Stubbs, and Keshav Maharaj were rested, while India's playing XI remained unchanged.
