Ravichandran Ashwin Scores Quickfire Century, Equals MS Dhoni's Test Record in First Test

India and Bangladesh: Ravichandran Ashwin, the spin all-rounder for the Indian squad, was outstanding with the bat when the team needed it most in the opening game of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. At the end of the first day's play in Chennai, Ashwin achieved his sixth century in Test cricket. In doing so, he tied the record set by former Team India captain MS Dhoni, who also amassed six centuries in his Test career.
Ashwin is leading with 102 and Ravindra Jadeja at 86, due to which the Indian team had scored 339 runs for the loss of 6 wickets by the end of the first day of the Chennai Test match. So far, there has been a partnership of 195 runs between the two for the 7th wicket.

This is also Ashwin's fastest century in Test cricket so far, in which he completed his century in just 108 balls in the Chennai Test match against Bangladesh.
