The impact of the Pahalgam terror attack has started to show. Prime Minister Modi has decided to leave his foreign tour midway. The PM did not attend the official dinner hosted by Saudi Arabia and decided to cut his trip short. He will leave for India tonight itself.
Earlier he was scheduled to return on Wednesday night, but now he will reach India early on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, leaders of many countries of the world, including US President Donald Trump, have condemned this attack. There is also news that Trump will soon talk to PM Modi.
What happened in Pahalgam?
26 people have died and many are injured in the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Out of these 26 people, 25 are tourists and one is a local citizen. Among the dead, 2 foreign nationals of Indian origin have also lost their lives. The terrorists have fired more than 50 rounds on the tourists.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah's arrival in Srinagar from Delhi serves as a barometer for the situation. PM Modi has also discussed this terrorist attack with Amit Shah over the phone.
How did such a big attack happen?
At 2.30 pm, 2-3 terrorists arrived and started checking the identity cards of the tourists. After this, they started firing indiscriminately. An army officer was also present on this occasion, who had come here to visit with his family. He saved the people present there and took cover. The terrorists asked the names of the people and shot them dead.
This entire incident took place in Baisrana of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. This terrorist attack has created panic in the country and all the big leaders of the country including PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh have condemned this incident.

"The terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, is something I strongly condemn," Prime Minister Modi had stated. To those who have lost a loved one, my sympathies are extended. I hope and pray that the injured get better quickly. The impacted individuals are receiving every assistance that is possible.
