In Sunday's final, Rohit Sharma's team defeated New Zealand, extending Team India's undefeated streak at the ICC Champions Trophy. At the end of the exciting match, India won the coveted title for the third time in its history, with captain Rohit leading his team's run-scoring charts with two wins and one shared.
The team received a substantial cash prize of Rs 20 crore from the International Cricket Council as a result of the victory. Interestingly, though, it is still less than the salary that Rishabh Pant, the most expensive purchase at the IPL 2025 auction, is fetching.

The subcontinental powerhouses defeated the Kiwis by four wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, making history. In contrast, New Zealand would receive Rs. 9.72 crore ($1.12 million) for placing second in the competition.
Notably, the Lucknow Super Giants purchased Rishabh Pant for INR 27 crore at the IPL 2025 auction, despite the fact that he did not play in a single game during the tournament.
