IND vs. SL: Indian captain Rohit Sharma arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday, July 28, for the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Rohit was spotted meeting with all-rounder and former Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, where the ODI series will be played. The two greats shook hands, hugged each other, and started talking. According to rumors, Rohit be wearing Team India's training equipment while captain Virat Kohli and other players start practicing for the upcoming series.

KL Rahul, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Kohli, along with other players, have arrived in Colombo. Under the direction of assistant coach Abhishek Nair, the Indian ODI squad has begun its practice session. After an 8-month break, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play in ODIs again. The skipper of the T20 World Cup-winning team is eager to get back to ODIs and will look to build on his recent strong performance.

Rohit-Kohli Return

He will also build the ODI squad for preparations for the Champions Trophy, which begins early next year. Rohit had announced his retirement from T20Is along with Kohli after India's win in Barbados. During the break, Rohit and Kohli both enjoyed time with their respective families. Kohli left for London after participating in the T20 World Cup win celebrations.

Meanwhile, Rohit, his daughter Samaira, and his wife Ritika Sajdeh were in the US. India's best cricket pair, who have a stellar record against Sri Lanka, will make a comeback. Shreyas Iyer, who was dropped from the BCCI's annual contract list, will meanwhile also be included in the ODI squad. KL Rahul will replace him in the ODI lineup.
