The IPL 2023 trophy arrives in Chennai, where CSK prays fervently at the city temple.

As the IPL trophy returned to the South Indian city on Tuesday, a day after the sensational final in Ahmedabad, the management of Chennai Super Kings held a special prayer at a temple there. At Chennai's Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) temple in Thyagaraya Nagar, the trophy was presented to Sri Venkateshwara Swami.

Officials from Chennai Super Kings were seen carrying the IPL 2023 trophy straight from the airport to the city's most famous temple. While no players or support staff members were present at the venue, a special prayer was said at the temple.

CSK bring the IPL trophy to the well-known TTD temple in Chennai on a regular basis. Notably, after the trophy was taken to the temple in 2021, the owners of CSK and former Indian cricket board (BCCI) president N Srinivasan, who is also the managing director of India Cements, attended the special prayer. The daughter of Srinivasan and the former president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Rupa Gurunath, also joined the cricket administrator.

A day after the big iPL 2023 final in Ahmedabad, CSK players and support staff, including head coach Stephen Fleming, arrived in Chennai.

With their victory over Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings equaled Mumbai Indians' record for most IPL titles. Since getting back from a 2-year suspension, CSK has figured out how to bring home upwards of 3 championships (2018, 2021, and 2023).

MS Dhoni also increased his record for the most T20 cricket titles and became the IPL captain with the most wins.

Before the players return to their respective cities, CSK is expected to celebrate the IPL victory in Chennai. The festivals in Ahmedabad began just after Ravindra Jadeja hit the triumphant runs in a last-over thrill ride against the Titans.

When the Super Kings needed 10 runs from the final two deliveries, Ravindra Jadeja hit a six and a four, and MS Dhoni was uncharacteristically emotional as he lifted him.

CSK completed second in the IPL 2023 focuses table yet they crushed GT in Qualifier 1 in Chennai to procure an immediate compartment in the last.
