Rahul Gandhi's Lok Sabha speech

Many comments made by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha on Monday have been removed from the record. It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi had made comments about Hindus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS in his address. Rahul Gandhi had said in his speech that those who call themselves Hindus keep on saying violence, hatred, and hate 24 hours a day. Rahul Gandhi's remarks have also drawn criticism from Prime Minister Modi, who stated that it was grave that the Hindu community as a whole be called violent.

Controversy over Rahul Gandhi's comment

On Monday, Rahul Gandhi gave his first speech as the leader of the opposition. Rahul Gandhi targeted the BJP and said that 'those who call themselves Hindus keep talking about violence, hatred and lies 24 hours a day. These people are not Hindus at all. It is clearly written in Hinduism that one should stand with the truth and never back down from the truth. Non-violence should be spread.' When PM Modi objected to this statement of Rahul, Rahul Gandhi said that I have called the BJP violent and that Narendra Modi is not the entire Hindu society. BJP is not the entire Hindu society. Hindu society is not represented by RSS.

Amit Shah demands apology

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed displeasure over Rahul Gandhi's comment. He said that 'such a big act cannot be hidden by making noise. The opposition leader said that those who call themselves Hindus commit violence. He probably does not know that crores of people proudly call themselves Hindus; do they all commit violence. It is wrong to link the feeling of violence to any religion and he (Rahul Gandhi) should apologize.'

Rahul Gandhi also targeted Prime Minister Modi

Rahul Gandhi claimed that 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi had thought of contesting elections from Ayodhya, but in the survey he was told that the people of Ayodhya will defeat him, so PM Modi went to Varanasi and escaped from there.' He said that PM Modi scares the BJP people, leave alone the people of Ayodhya. On this, Speaker Om Birla said that you should speak on policies; it is not right to make personal allegations on anyone.

According to media reports, the comments from Rahul Gandhi's address that have been removed from the parliamentary proceedings include Rahul Gandhi's allegations against the BJP, in which Rahul said that the BJP is treating minorities in a biased manner. Further, the comments made on Adani and Ambani and the allegations made regarding the NEET exam have been removed from the proceedings. The records have also been updated to remove Rahul Gandhi's description of the Agniveer plan as a PMO scheme rather than an Indian Army scheme from the proceedings.

Portions of Kharge's statement on RSS were also removed

On Monday, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge also addressed the Rajya Sabha and attacked the government sharply. Words like Satyanash, Ghamand and Mujra have also been removed from Kharge's statement. Also, the accusation made by Kharge on PM Modi of dividing society and spreading fake information has also been removed from the parliamentary proceedings. During the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha, there was a heated debate between Chairman Dhankhar and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. Actually, Kharge alleged in his statement that the people of the Sangh and BJP have taken over the educational institutions. The Chairman objected to this and directed to remove his statement from the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha. The Chairman said that it is a crime to be a member of any institution? What you are saying is absolutely wrong. Is it a crime to be a member of RSS? This is an organization which is working for the nation and contributing to the country. On this, Kharge said that the ideology of the Sangh is dangerous for the country. The Chairman also directed Kharge to remove this statement from the record.

Rahul Gandhi reacted

Rahul Gandhi has reacted to the removal of parts of his speech from the proceedings of the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi said, 'In Modi's world, truth can be erased but in reality, truth cannot be erased. Whatever I said and what I had to say, I have said it, that is the truth, now they can erase whatever they want to erase.'
