The actor in Dick Van Dyke's Malibu car accident sustains minor injuries.
Recently, Dick Van Dyke was involved in a Malibu car accident. He failed to keep a grip on his vehicle, making it slide and crash into an entryway.
In Malibu, Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke was involved in a car accident. However, according to TMZ, he was able to avoid serious injury. He lost control of his Lexus LS 500 while driving it in the rain. His vehicle skidded and ran into a gate as a result.
On Wednesday morning, March 22, police responded to a call about a single-car accident, according to TMZ sources. Dick was driving a 2018 Lexus LS 500 that he had hit a gate with when the deputies arrived at the scene.
"Our sources say the 97-year-old film and television legend told cops his car slid and he lost control before slamming into the gate," TMZ continued. The incessant downpours that L.A. had been experiencing had soaked the streets.
After the accident, Dick Van Dyke's nose and mouth were bleeding. He refused to go to the hospital, so the paramedics treated him at the accident site. In the meantime, reports claim that the police have confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not the cause of this accident. However, according to TMZ, the police have submitted paperwork to the DMV requesting a new driving test for Dick due to his age. He didn't have to drive home by himself because someone picked him up from the scene of the accident.
