Now this tournament will be played in the United Arab Emirates instead(UAE) of Bangladesh. The event, which was to be held from 3 to 20 October, will now be held in Dubai and Sharjah.

"It's a shame Bangladesh will not be able to host the Women's T20 World Cup as we know the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) would have delivered a memorable event," ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said in a statement.
"I would like to thank the BCB team for exploring all avenues to host the event in Bangladesh, but due to travel advisories from the governments of several participating teams, this was not possible. However, they will retain the hosting rights. We look forward to hosting an ICC global event in Bangladesh in the near future."

The ICC said on Tuesday, 'The ninth edition of the tournament will now be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will continue to host the event. The tournament will be held from October 3 to 20 at two venues in the UAE - Dubai and Sharjah.'
“I would also like to thank the Emirates Cricket Board for hosting on behalf of the BCB, and Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe for their generous offer of support, and we look forward to seeing ICC global events take place in both those countries in 2026.”

The board made memorable preparations
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said in a statement, "It is a shame that Bangladesh will not be able to host the Women's T20 World Cup as we know that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) would have put on a memorable event."

- Greg Barclay confirmed to the board that he will step down as ICC chairman after his term ends in November.
- Barclay was appointed as the independent ICC chairman in November 2020.
- The current directors are required to submit nominations for the next chairman by 27 August 2024.
- If there are more than 2 candidates, an election will be held. The term of the new chairman will begin from 1 December 2024.
