Gangsters dripping wet and fleeing for their lives: Following Atiq Ahmed's sentence in the Umesh Pal case, UP CM Yogi
UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Saturday guaranteed that criminals who used to threaten individuals with coercion dangers were presently wetting their jeans after their condemning by courts.
Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and two others were found guilty by an MP/MLA court in the 2006 kidnapping of Umesh Pal. Days later, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that "gangsters were now wetting their pants after their sentencing by courts." The UP chief minister asserted that gangsters who had previously terrorized individuals with threats of extortion and abducted them without regard for law and order were now wetting their pants.
At a gathering following the "bhoomi pujan" of a bottling plant, the BJP leader stated, "People are seeing that those who showed little respect for law and order earlier are now running for their lives."
They will be able to see their soaked pants when the court sentences them. It is visible to the public. The mafia used to terrorize people, threaten industrialists with extortion, and kidnap businessmen. However, right now they are running for their lives and are terrified beyond belief," the chief minister stated.
ATIQ AHMED SENTENCED IN UMESH PAL CASE
Atiq Ahmed is the principal blamed in the homicide case for BSP lawmaker Raju Buddy, which occurred in 2005. Additionally, he is accused of murdering Umesh Pal, the most important witness in the case.
In the midst of tight security last month, he was brought to Prayagraj from the Sabarmati jail in Gujarat for the hearing in the case. Ahmad stated that he feared he might be killed before a police cavalcade drove him out of the jail. Outside of the prison, Ahmad yelled, "Hatya, Hatya" (murder, murder).
The UP police began targeting Atiq Ahmed's aides and gang members after Umesh Pal, a key witness in the Raju Pal murder case, was killed outside his Prayagraj home. An altercation resulted in the deaths of two associates of Atiq Ahmed, the suspect in the murder of Umesh Pal.
The killing of Umesh Pal also sparked a dispute between the ruling BJP and the Samajwadi Party, with the latter claiming that the former was deteriorating state law and order. Yogi Adityanath had pledged to eliminate the mafia in the state assembly following the flagrant crime.
MAFIAs NOW SILENCED IN UP, SAYS CM
The chief minister stated in his speech on Saturday that the government is committed to bringing prosperity to the lives of its citizens and that everyone's safety is its responsibility.
The chief minister said, according to a press release from the state government, that while the state was known for riots and anarchy six years ago, goons and the mafia used to openly threaten businessmen and kidnap them. Today, however, all such elements have been silenced.
"There was absolute peace in Uttar Pradesh this year, when riots were taking place in some states of the country during the celebrations of Ram Navami." Thirty-three lakh people went to Ayodhya, the place where Lord Shri Ram was born, and more than 1,000 processions were performed. However, there was no unfortunate incident. Hindus and Muslims, on the other hand, poured flowers all over the processions," he stated.
