Four individuals involved in the smuggling of drugs across the Myanmar border have been detained by the Delhi Police, three of whom are members of an international drug cartel.

In two distinct instances of drug smuggling, the Delhi Police arrested four men on Sunday. The drugs were smuggled from Myanmar to Delhi-NCR through the northeastern states of Manipur and Assam.

Irfan was about to hand over the Rs 20 crore shipment when he was stopped in Ghazipur. The police said that the pure heroin they found in the accused's car weighed 2.7 kilograms.

Irfan revealed after the arrest that he was paid Rs 20,000 per trip to transport the drug-laden vehicle from Manipur to Assam and Delhi.

The accused claimed that he and his brothers run a workshop in Mayang, Manipur's Imphal, that makes the bodies of heavy vehicles like trucks. Roshan, a man, introduced him to Veineilhing Kipgen, a woman.

The accused claimed that Veineilhing coerced him into handing over her work. Additionally, he admitted to having delivered two to three packages to Raju in Guwahati, Assam.

He uncovered that recuperated drugs were to be conveyed to one of the partners of Veineilhing Kipgen on her bearings in Delhi.

In another instance, three key members of an international drug cartel were apprehended by law enforcement. Onkar Mal (52), Om Prakash (42), and Vikash Pareek (35), all of whom reside in Rajasthan, were transporting an opium shipment from Manipur to supply Delhi-NCR and Rajasthan.

Two of the arrested people's vehicles contained approximately 100.340 kg of high-quality opium. In order to evade detection by law enforcement agencies, the recovered contraband was packed in polythene packets and hidden in cavities in the TATA canter and Ertiga vehicles.

The accused admitted, following their arrest, that they belonged to a global drug cartel and had been delivering heroin and opium from Myanmar and Manipur to Delhi-NCR and Rajasthan for the previous ten years.
