This week, the last day of Ganeshotsav, i.e. the festival of the arrival of Ganpati Bappa, will be completed by immersing the Ganpati idol. Anant Chaturdashi will be on 17 September. At the same time, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, which is celebrated as the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad in Islam, will be celebrated on 18 September.

The Reserve Bank of India and the Maharashtra government have extended the public holiday of Eid-e-Milad till September 18. All public sector (PSBs) and private banks of India, including the State Bank of India (SBI), will remain closed on September 18 due to Eid-e-Milad celebrations. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Maharashtra government have extended the public holiday of Eid-e-Milad to September 18. However, there is no holiday in the Indian stock market this week and there will be trading in the stock market on all five business days.
